ID'ing specific luns on hsv210?

Hi;

I have to reorganize a subset of the disks presented from an array that ioscan says is an HSV210. If this were an EMC or an HDS array, I would know how to identify the exact luns that I need to manipulate. I have to make sure I get the right luns in order to avoid impacting the other databases that run on that system.

Can anyone tell me how to identify the specific physical devices to which a CTD points? The SAN guy with whom I'm working thinks he has it; but, if there is a clear way to verify his list, it'd go a long way to easing my concern.

Thanks.

Doug

Re: ID'ing specific luns on hsv210?

Doug,

You need evainfo

This will show you the WWIDs of the LUNs which you can them match with what the SAN guy sees in CommandView EVA.

Just google the following and you should find what you are looking for in the top 10 hits:

evainfo site:hp.com

ALternatively ask the SAN guy to look on the CommandView EVA install disk - there's usually a copy of evainfo on there.
