IVM error The HPVM-Guest software bundle is not installed on this VM

Hi,

I have IVM v4.10 installed in my hosts.

I have created one virtual machine with HPUX 11.31. When start this machine i obtain this error:

ERROR: The HPVM-Guest software bundle is not installed on this VM.
Overall system performance and stability may not be optimal.
"/sbin/rc3.d/S829hpvmguestlib start" FAILED


I want to install this in my guest hosts. I have copy to bundle of /opt/hpvm/guest-images/hpux/11iv3/hp...sd to virtual hosts /tmp/patch/hp...sd.

I execute
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/hp...sd HPVM-Guest
but i obtain this error:

ERROR: Failed installing fileset "vmGuestLib.GUEST-LIB,r=B.04.10".
Check the above output for details. │
* Retry number 1 of 1 for loading files for fileset │
"vmGuestLib.GUEST-LIB,r=B.04.10". │
* Installing fileset "vmGuestLib.GUEST-LIB,r=B.04.10" because │

How i must to install this package ?

You should install VMGuest libraries. You can find it in the VM host:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/hpux/11iv2/hpvm_guest_depot.11iv2.sd
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/hpux/11iv3/hpvm_guest_depot.11iv3.sd

You should install them to the guests...

Hi,

when I try to install the libraries on the host, I see that says it should only be installed on virtual machines.

And when you try to install in the virtual machine tells me I can not access the library /opt/hpvm/lib/hpux32/libhpvmguest.so, although if you are.

Hi,
Onthe vmguest can you use interactive swinstall:

# swinstall -s /tmp/hpvm_guest_depot.11iv3.sd

And select "HPVM-Guest", "VMGuestLib" and "VMProvider". Then see what happens...

Hi,

VM guest library can be downloaded from itrc or you can find hpux v3 dvd.
