Identifying multiple libraries and tape drives association
I need to write a script for the operators that will show them the tape libraries and associated tape drives on the server(similar to ltt tapetools hardware scan).
The problem is I cannot seem to identify which tape/s drive goes with which Library and the model of the tape library for e.g.. MSL2024 or MSL4048 and each server have multiple libraries and tape drives.
All the command gives MSL G3 Series Library and to an operator that means nothing.

Re: Identifying multiple libraries and tape drives association
You could try the 'mc' command to see if you can get any additional info.
For example:
# mc -p /dev/rac/c5t0d0 -q
Vendor ID : HP
Product ID : MSL6000 Series
Product Rev : 0520

Product Rev : 5.50
