We are looking to replace our aging RP5470 unix server with an Itanium server. In reading the specs, USB ports are listed. My question: is it possible to do prepare an ignite image to a USB stick, and also, use that ignite USB stick to re-ignite the server? Just thought I would ask a I am unsure about mounting, etc.
Thanks everyone.

BTW, you cannot use a RISC image for an Integrity server!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Ignite 11.31 via a USB Stick
Just to further clarify your comment - I take it that in order to make a copy of Ignite, and/or ignite the server - this cannot be done via usb stick, but rather, through a server or tape. I just want to make absolutely certain.
Thanks for your help.

SolutionYou can store your ignite image on tape or ignite server, but not on an usb thumb drive.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
