Ignite for IVM Guests
We have got a rx8620 server with 3 NPAR, One of those NPAR is a VM Host Server and Ignite Server, on the VM Host Server we have 4 Virtual Machines.
Can you please let me know if we can take a IGNITE backup of the Virtual Machines.
If possible then what are the steps to backup and restore from IGNITE on Virtual Machines
HP version 11.23

Re: Ignite for IVM Guests
As mentioned earlier we wanted to try a IGNITE Backup and Restore our IVM Guest server
At present we use
Vmguest01# make_net_recovery â s vmhost05 inc_entire=rootdg
Which updatesa the Ignite image of our guest server to the VMHOST server in
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives
How can we Restore from this image?
SECONDLY â Can we use make_tape_recovery on our Vmguest01 Server, the Guest server will use the Tape drive of the VMHOST Server.

Re: Ignite for IVM Guests
I realized you can not use make_tape_recovery for Virtual Machines.
Can someone help me to restore the Virtual Guest Server from
Make_net_Recovery
As mentioned we use
make_net_recovery â s vmhost05 inc_entire=rootdg
but do not know how to restore if the rootdg gets corrupted
