Important: Ignite -UX question ?

Guys,

Does Installing/Removing IGnite-UX needs reboot of the system ??

I found two version of Ignite-UX is installed and make_tape_recovery is failing every time. !!

ddmph12:>swlist -l product | grep -i ignite
Ignite-UX C.6.10.97 HP-UX System Installation Services
Ignite-UX C.6.7.79 HP-UX System Installation Services



From recovery.log file:

ERROR: Fileset: "Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-11-11" (rev=C.6.7.79) is a different
version than the rest of Ignite-UX (rev=C.6.10.97). You must
update all filesets of the product to the same version for
proper behavior.
ERROR: All filesets in the Ignite-UX product must be the same revision.
Please update any old Ignite-UX filesets.

1. What need to remove/install. ? How to ? Does it needs a reboot. ?

No reboot is needed for a swinstall or swremove of Ignite/UX. Your system seems to be somewhat in a mess so I would swremove all Ignite versions and sthen start a clean install.

#swmodify -u Ignite-UX,r=C.6.7.79

NOTE: If the product name is the same for two entries, the r= will need to be used to specify which revision to remove. This error typically occurs when you upgrade Ignite-UX and do not choose the full Ignite-UX bundle. It is recommended that, if you only wish to upgrade the 11.x Ignite filesets, you should first swremove(1M) the old Ignite filesets first

Its better to remove both version and install the correct version for your OS.No need of reboot.
