Re: Install SATA Hard Disk Driver

1. on hardware vendor site.
BTW, can you provide more info about your hardware?
2. you'll receive manual together with driver. Usually it's "driver floppy disk", which you should use during installation.

Re: Install SATA Hard Disk Driver

See if you can define you hard drive in Bios with Legacy option. This way your linux should be able to work with it.

Re: Install SATA Hard Disk Driver

Hi ,Christopher

SATA controller vender should provide driver for linux. You should make a SATA controller driver disk for linux install.
When you boot from linux install cd ,type "linux dd" to loading SATA contorller driver from driver disk.

Re: Install SATA Hard Disk Driver

agree with Vitaly.. i encounter this problem with SATA before and try to play with the BIOS drive config then it works.

Drive Configuration

ATA/IDE Configuration Legacy
Legacy IDE Channels [SATA P0/P1, PATA sec]
PCI IDE Bus Master [Enabled]

hope this helps...
