Install SmartStart 7.2 problem on DL380G4

OS: Redhat Linux AS3.0 update 4
HW: Proliant Server 380G4

Installation application told me that the system miss glut-3.7-12.i386.rpm when install Smart Start 7.2 on DL380G4

But I can't find it on 4x Redhat AS2 Update4 CD

Its not on the Red Hat CD. I think you need to get this from either HP or the nice folks that created smart start.

Maybe find it here:
http://linux.maruhn.com/sec/glut.html

Or use yum to get it.

This is a RH 9 link but its likely the binary is compatible with RH 3.

what version of smartstart you are trying to install on RH4?

dont mistake me, Smartstart 7.20 is not supported on RH4 only Smartstart 7.21 is supported on RH4. Try that out and see whether it solves your problem.

SmartStart is a standalone tool. It cannot be "installed" on a system. Are you referring to the ProLiant Support Pack for Linux?

I am trying to install support pack 7.30 on White Box 3 which is basically the same as Red Hat Enterprise 3.

I run the install730.sh script and it tells me that the Linux o/s on this system cannot be identified by the HP proliant linux deployment utility. Please check /etc/redhat-release for correctness.

any body had the same problem or know a way arond this?
