Installing 11iV1 driver on 11iV3
Is there anyway I can install this driver on 11iV3. I tried swinstall -x allow_incompatible=true. This allowed me to install the driver libraries but failed on kernel build. The post install script couldn't find /stand/build.
Is there any way I can install this driver on 11iV3?

However, such cards were usually used on workstations - no workstation support with 11.31.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Installing 11iV1 driver on 11iV3
No.
Drivers are not regular software that will work with the ARES emulator.
There is no way this driver will work unless a driver for HP-UX 11.31 is written and install.
Continuing this fishing expedition, based on what I'm seeing here could seriously compromise system reliability.
Get a new card.

Are you seriously thinking of going back to 11iv1 from 11iv3?
Not too good an Idea I would say..

Why?! It seems that this is the only thing to do in this case (at least for some time - maybe there will be available somewhere in the future a driver for a new HP-UX version).
I believe we are too careful about the operating system used on our systems and we are forgetting the fact that those systems must respond to some practical need. This practical need should prevail.
Best regards,
Horia.

Re: Installing 11iV1 driver on 11iV3
One difference I noticed is that there are no more master files, /usr/conf/master.d/ is empty.
