Installing / Booting Redhat EL5 on Blade P series
I try to install Redhat EL5 on my nes Blade, we have BL35p, BL45p and BL20p connected to a EVA3000 SAN. First I tryed to install Windows with boot from SAN, this works good now. Now I try to install Redhat ES5 on the Blades. This don't work. After the installation, where everithing looks fine the system reboots and didn't find anything to boot from. Even when I booted in the rescue mode, no data where found on the disks. On no of the Blades. Then I added local disk to boot. The same situation, but on the local disk of the BL45p I could found the just installed system. But there was no way to boot this system.

Re: Installing / Booting Redhat EL5 on Blade P series
Sometimes you need a bios update to run Linux.
As a matter of fact you probably need a bios update on those BL45P systems before installing Linux 5.x
