Installing Samba on Integrity Server BL860C
Hi
I have installed all product in a fresh red hat linux version 4.6.
My question is :
Is included samba when I make the all selection or it is require and additional installation process.
Whitch is the name of the samba package?

If u do minimal install it doesnt install with that. If full install then only it will.
So check "rpm -qa | grep smb" id samba server installed.
If yes then done just see samba services by
"service smb status" if stoped start and use it.
If its not installed then install it manually.
packages u need to install are:
Samba, system-config-samba and samba-client
Which will be in 2nd disk of RHEL.
Just search rpm and install.
Or use GUI (Add/remove programs) and select file server and do update. done.
