Is there a key one can press to refresh a terminal based form screen?

When running sam or the initial HPUX install software on the console the screen can often get messed up when a message is displayed.

[Or you get disconnected while doing a remote install and have to reconnect to the MP]

I've often wondered if there was a simple key stroke or sequence that I could type that would refresh the screen to the way it should look.

Actually, I think "l" would work, sort of. In SAM, it brings up keyboard help and when you exit that, your original screen is refreshed. The same works if you pop out to a shell (F7) and then "exit" to get back to SAM.

I wasn't trying to give you low points, I was just trying to give a single 10 points to each for the right answer.

Sounds like cntl-L is the way to go. I'm less concerned about SAM than I am about the screens when reloading a system. I want to be sure I'm seeing the right stuff when remotely recovering as system. Hate to pick the wrong disk are define the wrong size for a file system.

I hate to be a spoil-sport, but this is _entirely_ application dependent (where the SHELL or other command language processor can also be the application)...

I have in my direct recollection ctrl-R, ctrl-W, ctrl-V, up-arrow, ctrl-TAB, ctrl-BREAK, ctrl-L ... ; (in various OSes and applications.

And I am sure that list is NOT complete.
