Re: Itanium server recovery
Integrity boot disks are
cxtyd0s2
You can run "make_tape_recovery" as usual, if you want to recover, you can use the "two-step-method" (booting from install media and restore from tape) or use native tape boot if possible (depends on server model and firmware).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Itanium server recovery
Secondly,
u see okay mk_recovery does the vgexport part but lets say a vg has 100 gigs and it has different device files for the disks then in the recovery place lets say when we go to sungard we just create a 100gig vg. My question is that the device files stored in the vgconfiguration while making mk_recovery willl not be the same as teh sungard will use different disk configuration then wont that be a problem...
eg: c3t2d0 in actual environment and c5t6d9 in sungard
i have a vg 100 gig with 6 disks c1t1d2,d3,d4,d5,d6,d7 and in the sungard site i have 100 gig with c2t3d10,d11,d12,13,d14,d15 and i am restoring,,, will the system just take it or say wrong devices ?
Thanks

Re: Itanium server recovery
After the server boot's us, you could well do a vgimport with the map file available with the new disks
