Kernel panic
Hi,
I have given reboot command from remote terminal. After issueing this command system is not booting up it is strucking up with following error.
Kernel panic-not syncing:No init found. Try passing init=option to kernel
System is running with Linux. Please help me to resolve the problem.

try booting from a recovery cd, check if your / filesystem is still readable. the kernel does not find the /sbin/init file when booting, normally it should be there.

somehthing is wrong with /etc/inittab file.
Its missing probably.....
You have to restore it from somewhere.
