LSM on mirror 2 partition our of 5

Dear Experts,

We tried to mirror our system disk using LSM on our ES40 Tru64 5.1 box, unfortunately
it only mirror 2 partition and 3 others are not. We tried to add the 3 other partition and encap again, also reboot the system. But is still does not work. Our vendor from Compaq
did the job but still cannot find a solution.

We are concern specially our /usr and /var is not mirrored at all now.

Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

What command did you use to mirror the system disk ?
volrootmir -a should encapsulate all inuse partitions on the systems disk. +If you don't use the -a flag it will just mirror the root & swap partitions.

Did you use #volrootmir -a?

If you do not only the /root & /swap is mirrored

-a Specifies that all volumes relating to the boot disk be mirrored, not just the root and swap volumes, rootvol and swapvol.

LSM is well known, 5.1 out of support - there are some restrictions and recommondations to mirror volumes.
