LUN shared by multiple VM's
This command running from VM host system .
/opt/hpvm/bin/hpvmmodify -P hervmd03 -F -a disk:avio_stor::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk7>
hpvmmodify: ERROR (hervmd03): Duplicate backing device '/dev/rdisk/disk72'.
hpvmmodify: ERROR (hervmd03): Unable to add device '/dev/rdisk/disk72'.
hpvmmodify: Unable to create device disk:avio_stor::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk72.

However ioscan is not showing it on guest .
Do you think rebooting guest will fix the issue ?

I don't like the the way HP VM works , I need to reboot the VM anytime i need to add a LUN - not good . Is i am missing something ?

Well it does not ask for reboot normally!!
Did you see any other issue?
what version of HPVM and HP-UX.

We are on Sept,2008 patch level for Host and all the guest are on March,2009.
