Lan Interface

Hi All,

I have 4 nwtk. interfaces..... And was wondering if it is really nessary to assigne to all of them....

Just wondering the purpose of 4 nwtk. interfaces.

It's not necessary to configure all of them. Purposes for using them all would be if you needed the system to multi-homed for some reason (IP addresses on different subnets assigned to each one) or if you were going to use APA to utilize them as a single interface.

I would assume you have 4 NIC because you bought 4 nics..

A rhetorical question would be. "Do you need 4 nics ?"

It looks like this (they are built-in by default):

Check the enclosure which NICs are assigned and connected to a switch.
