Re: Logical Volume showing stale status

Hi,

One of your disk failed in vg00. Find out which disk failed and get it replaced.

#strings /etc/lvmtab -> will show disks part of vg00. if vg00 contains only two disks, the disk which failed is other than c3t0d0.

follow the steps in Ivan link to replace and remirror the root disk.

Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Re: Logical Volume showing stale status

Checked and find two disks are assigned:
# strings /etc/lvmtab
/dev/vg00
/dev/dsk/c1t8d0s2
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s2

But the failed disk /dev/dsk/c1t8d0s2 i am not able to get in # ioscan -fnCdisk output, Says notsuch device

Re: Logical Volume showing stale status

Hi

Check with following command

lvdisplay -v -k lvname

then you will get key of the stale disk (i.e 0 or 1 whatever).Using that key reduce it from the vg and follow the procedure as per above given pdf.

Re: Logical Volume showing stale status

Hello,

Other reasons why you are getting

if you have UN-presented your LUNS from the EVA and you have not done rmsf on those, then you might get this error.
