Re: Logs Hardware

Well, that depends.....

Now 'resmon' will put logs in /var/opt/resmon. But it can also send an alert that something has triggered a hardware logfile and will point you where to read about it. You will find these in your /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file. And you will also find in your syslog.log file harware issues report too. 'lbolt' is great example of that.

Hope these help get you started.

Re: Logs Hardware

It really depends on what you are looking for.

Most hardware related logs are are in the MP system logs.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Logs Hardware

The problem is not have acces the MP login.
only access for SSH. Exist logs for hardware via SSH?

Re: Logs Hardware

As an admin you *need* access to MP (even over SSH - depending on server model).

Hope this helps!

Re: Logs Hardware

You should be able to connect via SSH to the MP of all servers.

Don't expect errors in HPVM guests, only on the host.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Logs Hardware

You need to login to the console and check the logs on the MP under the evenlogs. You can ssh or telnet depends on what you have setup.

Re: Logs Hardware

As stated, you *need* access to the MP, however there may be some hardware status information obtained by using "logtool" (as long as STM is installed) if you can't get to the MP:
