MC service guard + HP Sim support to disable the snmp service

we are in the process of disabling snmp service on our servers due to some security issue, so we need to confirm that whether its possible to disable the snmp service on cluster servers and HP sim installled,

does HP sim and mc service guard cluster supports disabling of snmp service

AFAIK the preferred communication between hp-ux and HP SIM is WBEM, not SNMP.

Shalom,

You can disable snmp service.

HP Sim might cease to function.

ServiceGuard does not use snmp so your packages should still function.

SIM will likely complain but the server should stay in production.
