ML350 G4p, Smart Array 6402 & RH Linux 5
Hello,
I have loaded the subject server w RH Enterprise Linux 5. Before I loaded RH I configured the disks (3 ea 36GB & 3 ea 146GB) into 2 logical RAID 5 arrays, 1 72GB & the other 280GB drive. I loaded the RH on the smaller array and have the larger array for data.
The server is up and running now.
What HP software should I now load under RH to be able to monitor the server and monitor the RAID array.
Thank you.

Hello,
You can use Insight Manager. If you have Proliant Essentials Pack, you already have the disk.
If you don't have it, you can download it from http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/index.html

Re: ML350 G4p, Smart Array 6402 & RH Linux 5
That's right the HP Systems Insight Manager can be used to manage many "managed" servers from one central location. The key for Insight Manager to work is to have the ProLiant Support Pack installed on all the managed servers.
In a standalone scenario, just installing the ProLiant Support Pack will install various diagnostic tools, such as Array Diagnostic Utility, System Management Homepage, Insight Diagnostics & other health & management agents.
Particularly, the System Management Homepage provides you an overview of the system health status (of various server components).
This download page has all required management agents & diagnostic tools for download, and can be installed individually, but I would recommend that the whole ProLiant Support Packs (PSP) be installed.
