MSA and HP-UX console
From HP-UX, what is the command and it's syntax to connect to the MSA console ?
I have gone through "cu", but i am getting the error "Connect failed: Requested device/system name not known"
I guess the tty name may not be correct.
how to check the which tty file associated with that serial console connected to MSA ?
ioscan shows many tty words, i tried with all tty's but still i am getting the same error.
#ioscan -fn | grep -i tty
tty 0 0/4/1/0 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI SimpleComm (103c1290)
/dev/diag/mux0 /dev/mux0 /dev/tty0p0
tty 1 0/4/1/1 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI Serial (103c1048)
/dev/GSPdiag1 /dev/diag/mux1 /dev/mux1 /dev/tty1p0 /dev/tty1p2 /dev/tty1p4
tty 2 250/1 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE Built-in RS232C
/dev/diag/mux2 /dev/mux2 /dev/tty2p0
the command what i am using is ...
#cu -l /dev/tty2p0 -s 19200
Connect failed: Requested device/system name not known

Re: MSA and HP-UX console
From the server back side "console" port to the front port of MSA first controller.

Re: MSA and HP-UX console
If not, this port is the system console and you cannot connect other devices.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
