Hi Suraj,

I have applied all the above steps but the number of t* device files in /dev/pts is still 60 which will not solve the problem.

Could you post the output of;

# kctune -q nstrpty
# kctune -q npty
# kctune -q nstrtel

60 is has been the default limit for these parameters for as long as I have known HP-UX.

# kctune -q nstrpty
# kctune -q npty
# kctune -q nstrtel

It costs little to bump them up to 200 or more, reboot the system.

Hi,

Increase "nstrtel" value from 60 to 265

then run

insf-d tels -s 256 -e
