The p2vassist command is a menu-driven application that helps migrate applications from a running physical or virtual machine to another.
It only migrates the Applications...
I have a Physical server A to be migrated to HPVM A1.
After the migration Server A will be decomitioned... So all the filesystems and Applications etc.. present in Server A should go to HPVMA1

However, consider to use ignite to transfer the OS.

yes, the other VGs/DGs are coming when you are importing they. Basically, the ignite backup should only be used for the system itself, for other data another backup system should be used.
