Missing Tape Drives After Tape Library Firmware Upgrade
I have a 20-drive SpectraLogic tape library. The 11.11 rp7400 servers were able to "see", via a san, all the tape drives. This is a shared storage environment. After the tape library's firmware upgraded, the servers dont see all 20 anymore. Ioscan -fnC tape returns 10 drives in a NO_HW state. I followed that command with insf -e, but drives are still NO_HW. Rebooting the servers will be my last resort. Is there a chance the firmware upgrade changed the WWN of the tape drives?

Possible.
# ioscan -fn | more
Run fcmsutil
# fcmsutil /dev/td0
Thanks,

Re: Missing Tape Drives After Tape Library Firmware Upgrade
I dont see anything different in WWN after the upgrade. I will try a reboot on a development server to see if the missing tape drives "return".
