Monitoring Tru64

Dear Adminis,

Can someone suggest me a freeware or reasonably priced software for monitoring Tru64 and Linux. Big brother doesn't have client for Tru64. I have one Tru64 Alpha server and number of Linux booxes to monitor.

Thanks

Re: Monitoring Tru64

Big Brother (http://bb4.com) DOES have clients for Tru64. We have it running on all of our Tru64 systems. Just use "osf" as your OS type.

Contrary to popular belief, Unix is userfriendly. It just happens to be selective about who it makes friends with.

Nagios is another monitoring tool, http://www.nagios.org/

It's designed to be compiled and run on Linux. I have it on a Linux box montioring about half dozen Tru64 systems.

Re: Monitoring Tru64

If you have snmp enabled you can do it with a snmp net monitor: such sw should be multi platform.

search on freshmeat: there are a lot of java-based.
