My cd-rom problem
I have a scis cd-rom connected with hp-unix 10.20 workstation. In one workstation ,it works well. but when I put this cd-rom into another workstation, a lot of strange chars are viewed after mounting and exploring.
Maybe it is due to the improper char set . who
can tell me the exact reason and solution?

Re: My cd-rom problem
Hi,
Try mounting the CD using the below command.
mount -o cdcase -F cdfs /dev/dsk/xxxxx

Define "strange".
It might help if you showed some actual
commands and their actual output instead of
these vague descriptions and interpretations.

Perhaps someone who can see exactly what you
did, and exactly what happened when you did
it? (In other words, a psychic or a good
guesser.)
