NFS/Samba mapping race condition
How can I tell windows client running
Windows Services for UNIX to not check CIFS
first but NFS first from server that is
running Samba. I thought I found a doc
on how to change a registry key on
windows to source NFS first and CIFS second.
I have a problem with mapping an NFS export
from the same server that is running Samba.
The NFS path is not found in Samba and
I get the misleading login window when I
should get an error message that the path
is not found or the windows client should
try NFS after it cannot find the path in
CIFS. I can turn off Samba and the client
then maps the NFS export. But does not
retain the info for remapping after re-logging
back in.
