NFS issue on HPUX 11.31

Hi Guru,

I am facing some NFS mounting issue in our 11.31 ie64 server.

I am trying to mount the file system /usr/sap/trans from Server Dev to Server Qas on usr/sap/trans/MOUNTED

Server dev
#cat /etc/dfs/dfstab
share -F nfs -o rw=rueccqas /usr/sap/trans

#cat /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf
NFS_CLIENT=0
NFS_SERVER=1
START_NFSLOGD=1
START_MOUNTD=1

Server Qas
#cat /etc/fstab
ruleccdev:/dev/vg03/lvtrans /usr/sap/trans/MOUNTED nfs rw suid 0 0

#cat /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf

NFS_CLIENT=0
START_MOUNTD=1

*NFS Client disable unable to start
* DEV showing error after mount –a command “mount: absolute path name is required for rueccqas:/ruleccdev/usr/trans/MOUNTED”

I need your help

Thanks
Prashant

Re: NFS issue on HPUX 11.31

Hi,
In server Dev,
also need to start the service.

#/sbin/init.d/nfs.server start

and force the NFS daemon (nfsd) to re-read /etc/exports
#exportfs -a

In server Qas,make the value of,
NFS_CLIENT=1
#/sbin/init.d/nfs.client start
#mount -a

Please check...
