NIS Auto Home Question

How do I figure out which server a nis home directory is physically located?

Thanks!

Re: NIS Auto Home Question

Do you mean nfs or cifs instead of nis?

Otherwise:
ypwhich (shows which server client is bound to)
domainname (what domain am I a member of)

Re: NIS Auto Home Question

I found the answer:

ypcat -k auto.home | grep userid

Re: NIS Auto Home Question

Using bdf(1m) should work too:
bdf ~userid
