You cannot restore the excluded FS from ignite tape. You need to restore from other backup tools like fbackup, tar, cpio, netbackup, dp, if you have already taken those FS.

In your point of view, which of the two backup utilities should be easier to be used for restoration. Is it tar or fbackup?

Fbackup is good for the backup.Tar is also preferable.

For OS point of view you should take Ignite backup, between tar and fbackup i will preferred fbackup.

Every backup tool has it's own capablities and drawbacks.

Since fbackup is hp's own tool, it will give better performance than others.
