You can use "swverify \*" to check all SD products.
Otherwise you would need to figure out which fileset contains /etc/profile.
swlist -l file | grep /etc/profile

In the catalog/... directories there are "Info" files which have checksums for each specific file inside.

Unfortunately this is a bad example, since it is expected to change.
swlist -l file -a path -a is_volatile -a cksum OS-Core.UX-CORE | grep etc/profile
/etc/profile /etc/profile true
/usr/newconfig/etc/profile /usr/newconfig/etc/profile false 3521584149
This says that /etc/profile is volatile, can be changed by the customer. The initial version is in /usr/newconfig/etc/profile.
