OS Stacking

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what exactly OS stacking means? I came across one of the proposal we got from HP for our new site implementation. Where they mentioned the details there was a line saying "OS stacking is assume on the HP-UX environments"
Can anyone tell me exactly what this meant?
Also please let me know some good link from where i can download the admin guide for HPUX 11.31

Thanks

Re: OS Stacking

If you got the proposal from HP, why not ask the person you got it from exactly what they mean.

"OS Stacking" is not a term I have heard before.

As for documentation:

HP-UX 11iv3 docs are here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=10008&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64255&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=3367813

Man pages are here (11iv3 man pages are at the bottom of the page):
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=10008&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64255&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=4062598

Re: OS Stacking

Hello,

When in doubt ask for clarification :)

Patrick is right. HP person should
explain what they meant in simple terms.

However, I think "OS stacking"
was used to describe HP-UX virtualization
(nPars, vPars, IVMs, and SRP).
