Re: OnLineJFS

OnLineJFS

Hi. How do I confirm that OnLineJFS is operational? "swlist -l product | grep -i onlinejfs" reports version 4.1.008. hp-ux 11.23 on PA-RISC. Thanks.

Re: OnLineJFS

Hi,

Easy, try to do a online extension of a filesystem. If it works, then you have onlinejfs working. ;)

Something like.
#lvextend -L <1_extent_more_then_current#ofextents> /dev/vg00/

# fsadm -b <#newextents*PEsizevg00*1024> /tmp

I needed onlinejfs to extend lvol3 (root) using LVM mirrors. ...and it worked. Thanks.

Re: OnLineJFS

Hi,

If Online JFS is installed showing in your server then definitely u would be able to use the features of Online JFS(Extending or reducing).
U can check Online JFS is installed or not?

swlist -l product | grep -i onlinejfs

if u get no o/p of this command then OnlineJFS is not installed. As u r saying that some version it is showing, it means that Online JFS is installed in your server.

I strongly hope it is still contiguous ... otherwise you will have serious trouble later ...

Hope this helps!
