One print queue name delivering tasks to multiple printers

Hi guys,

Is possible obtain this scenario on HP-UX 11.23 (ia64) using the native spool manager or hhppi (All of them are LAN printers)?

I've reviewed but looks like not possible, or yes?

By the way, I know that for the competitor IBM-AIX is possible.

Rgds.

You want to make multiple copies? Or do you want to have one queue that prints to the first ready printer in a class?

The last, a queue that prints to the first ready printer in a class.

Re: One print queue name delivering tasks to multiple printers

See lpadmin man page. Look at the -c option to add a printer to a class.

Also see -d option for lp command. When argument is a class name, the behavior is what you're looking for. See lp man page.

That's what a printer class does:
lpadmin -pprinter -cclass
