Online JFS installation fails

Hi,
We have one PA-RISC running hp-ux 11.23 with latest patches. Now I am trying to install Online JFS but it fails with the below error.

ERROR: + Exclude VRTSvxfs.VXFS-KRN,r=4.1.001
ERROR: + Exclude VRTSvxfs.VXFS-PRG,r=4.1.001
ERROR: + Exclude VRTSvxfs.VXFS-RUN,r=4.1.001
ERROR: Exclude OnlineJFS01.VXFS41-AD-RN,r=4.1.008
ERROR: + Exclude VRTSfsman.VXFS-ENG-A-MAN,r=4.1.001
ERROR: 5 of 56 filesets had Errors.
* 51 of 56 filesets will be Skipped.
ERROR: The Analysis Phase had errors. See the above output for
details.
Also attaching the error logs fore more info.
During the OS installation I have selected Base-VXVM but not Base-VXFS. Is it due to this reason Online JFS fails? What have to do now for installing Online JFS?

Yes this is the reason why the installation failed.

From your attached logfile.

The dependencies for fileset "VRTSvxfs.VXFS-KRN,r=4.1.001"\ cannot be resolved (see previous lines). You must resolve the above dependencies before operating on this fileset or change the "enforce_dependencies" option to "false". The corequisite "VRTSvxfs.VXFS-KRN,fa=HP-UX_B.11.23_PA" for fileset "VRTSvxfs.VXFS-PRG,r=4.1.001" cannot be successfully resolved.

VRTSvxfs.VXFS-KRN is part of the Base-VXFS depot.

you do need base-VXFS

Thanks for the fast responds...
Can I do this Base-VXFS instalation online. I think it requires a reboot? And hope it will not disturb the OS File system at all.... Please give your comments...

it will reboot

The Base-VXFS installation changes the /stand/system file and rebuilds the kernel

Yes, after the installation, there will be a reboot.

I have already updated the OS with latest Standard patch Bundles
QPK --- Jun 2010
FEA --- Sep 2009
Hope this will not effect the Base-VXFS installation. Is any update patch required for Base-VXFS 4.1.002

Hi Pramod,

The document that i had provided has a section for patch requirements.
Section -> "Patch Requirements".
This does not talk about any update patch.
You may want to look at that section for the list of patches that have been mentioned.
