PDC version number

In a booted and running PA8900/SX2000 HP-UX v2 partition what is the HP-UX command that will display the PDC version?

Re: PDC version number

Hi Paul:

Try:

# echo "selclass qualifier cpu;info;wait;infolog"|cstm

Re: PDC version number

Hi Paul,

what system model is it? A superdome? The cstm will probably report the PDC version only, but you get better results from the MP!

MP:CM> sysrev

Example:

MP:CM> sysrev

Re: PDC version number

On PA-RISC cells you should see these versions:

Firmware Recipe 8.7f contains:

MP : 026.003.001
ED : 026.005.000
CLU : 025.001.001
PM : 022.001.002
RPM : 002.002.000
OSP : 000.011.000
IPF System FW : 009.048.000
PA System FW : 043.007.000
PDHC : 023.003.040
Cell LPM FPGA : 001.000.001
Cell JTAG FPGA : 001.001.000
Cell PDH FPGA : 001.005.001
I/O LPM FPGA : 001.006.000
PCIe I/O LPM FPGA : 001.001.000

Re: PDC version number

All firmware bundles for partitionable systems contain much more than the PDC only and must be consistent.

If you have only the PDC version number, you need to go to a document like the one I posted above, search the bundles for that number in order to find the currently installed bundle.

The MP sysrev command will return even the bundle name (on some systems), e.g.

Recipe 8.7e

thats why this method is IMHO much easier.

Hope this helps!
