PSP / Monitoring with SIM on CentOS

I have a about 40-50 360's / BL 25's running RHEL and/or centos. Has anyone had any luck a) getting the PSP to install / function on centos b) getting SIM to pull valid data off a centos install the same way it will off a RHEL install. I've tried changing /etc/redhat.release, it'll install but doesn't actually function.

Re: PSP / Monitoring with SIM on CentOS

CentOS is based on Red Hat code. You "should" be able to get the PSPs designed for Red Hat installed on CentOS, but that is a possibility.

You can use the rpm command to install the PSP. Normally there is a script that checks for the OS version before PSP installation. Do you get any errors regarding script during installation?

If you do, then you can add the --nopre or --noscripts switch to the rpm command to install the PSP. Once you get the PSPs installed, SIM (CMS) server can talk to the managed server.

Good luck!
