****************************************************************
The current log file name is now /var/log/hppldu.log

Re: PSP v 8.25

Not "glibC" but "glib".

"glibc2" refers to a critical system library package, without which your system won't run at all. So it (or some equivalent of it) most definitely is already installed on your system.

On the other hand, "glib" is an utility library which may or may not be installed. The choice of its name is a bit unfortunate: you're not the first one who has been misled by confusion between the two :-(

The package name for the latest RHEL 4 version is "glib-1.2.10-15.x86_64.rpm" (the version number may be different on Update 7).

Try "up2date --install glib".

Re: PSP v 8.25

Shalom,

It does look like glib was not completely installed on this system.

You can attempt a reinstall with the original install media.

I have installed PSP on RHEL 4.7 64 bit systems, so it should be possible.
