Package Failover due to Lan Failure
There is a setting LOCAL_LAN_FAILOVER_ALLOWED YES which allows the Lan to failover to a Standby Lan Interface.
But does the Cluster failovers the package to another node if any of the lan fails.
by any of the Lan I mean the lan where the package IP is plumbed .

Re: Package Failover due to Lan Failure
Hi,
1) There is a setting LOCAL_LAN_FAILOVER_ALLOWED YES which allows the Lan to failover
to a Standby Lan Interface.??
==>Yes,if you configured Standby LAN.
2) But does the Cluster failovers the package to another node if any of the lan fails.??
by any of the Lan I mean the lan where the package IP is plumbed .
==>If the LAN card have standby, package will not failover to the another node,
Just the package IP will assign to the standby LAN card.
If there is no standby, package will failover to the adoptive node.
==>If it is a HB LAN card and suppose it is 2 node cluster, same thing if there is
a standby,if there is no standby the cluster will reform with the voting of Cluster lock.

Re: Package Failover due to Lan Failure
Hi Raiden,
>>But does the Cluster failovers the package to another node if any of the lan fails.<<
No. Package still continue to run on the same node. Only the stationary ip and package ip if configured any will be failed over to standby lan interface when the lan interface fails.
