Re: Patch download

Hi Oprakash,

Get the patch number (Ex:PHNE_23456 or 23456) which you want to install.

You can download all HP-UX patches here.

http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do?admit=109447626+1243248865342+28353475

You won't get patches for 11.0 since HP already discontinued the support for 11.0
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Hi OPrakash,

Check the following link:

For 11.11: PHCO_38492
http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do

Enter the patch name above to download it.

And as Ganeshan said you may not find patches for 11.00.

Re: Patch download

Hello Oprakash,

When you open the patch on itrc site mentioned above, you can see some symbols. In this case reboot symbol is not present.
So a reboot is not required.

>how can I check whether reboot is required or not

You can tell from the URL:
http://www.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=PHCO_38492#Automatic%20Reboot?:

Or you can list the patch:
swlist -l fileset -a is_reboot -s $PWD/patch

Re: Patch download

Hi:

HP-UX patches are named prefixed with 'PHCO_' for patches to 'CO'mmands'; 'PHKL_' for KerneL patches; 'PHNE_' for 'NE'tworking patches; and 'PHSS_' for patches to various SubSysstems (e.g. compilers, etc).

As a general guideline, PHKL_ and PHNE_ patches will require a reboot to install; PHCO_ and PHSS_ will not.

Regards!

Re: Patch download

Try using Software Assistant (https://www.hp.com/go/swa). It can identify whether or not the security bulletin is currently an issue:

# swa report -a SEC -r issue

and then build you an install-ready depot:

# swa get -t /my/depot/here
