Re: Performance monitoring?

There are many tools.

There is Mwa measureware from hp.

There is Ehealth from Concorde,
ensure you take the live performance monitering tool. This is payable.

There are open platforms like Nagios,
using snmp.

Re: Performance monitoring?

It also depends on what yyou are trying to measure.
- System load (CPI, I/O, ...) ? Then I think sar can do a lot, but you will have to interprete the numbers yourself.
- Response times ? Then I think you need a more application-specific tool.

Re: Performance monitoring?

hi
if you have more than one server you can use hp openview application such as OVO (openview operation) whichis a fault management tool which give you notification about cpu ,memory and buffer or any process you need to monitor on the server

also OVPI with system resource report pack which enable you to get near real time and historical reportes about CPU,Memomrory and buffer and also processes needed to be monitored

Re: Performance monitoring?

Shalom,

Yes, I helped write this one.

http://www.hpux.ws/?p=6

Its a mod of of scripts HP gave me to measure performance.

Also potentially helpful is the memory leak detector on the very same site.

Re: Performance monitoring?

Well OpenView can help but is very expensive to set up, glance is good to detect the problem, but not so good at finding the solution, if you what are concerned is with performance at the memory level, well there are several and so many commands that can help you, as well as some unsupported tools listed in this link:
