I am trying to change the lan card (built in) to 100fd (currently 100hd). when I use the SAM, it says that the driver or patches needed to change to 100FD.
When I use lanadmin command, it says, the NIC support 10HD or 100HD.
So can someone help me that, is it possible to change to 100FD and what patch or drivers I needed. Thanks.
The machine details:
HPUX 10.20
D Class
NIC - PCI(10110009) Built in 1
Driver - btlan4
what /stand/vmunix |grep btlan shows:
btlan4.c csc 100bt patch:PHNE_13940 Revision 3.10 date 98/2/23.

Do you have a a built-in ethernet card?
Which one?
Some older cards only can support 100HD, so you should need an upgrade of your (no longer supported) server. This seems to be difficult ...

Re: Problem in changing the built in network card to 100FD.
It could be helpful if you can get the part or model number of this card - is there any sticker?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Problem in changing the built in network card to 100FD.
The built in card is 8/16/6 which labeled as LAN 10 Base -T.
8/8/1/0 the only lable i can see is LNK 100 MBps. and the SAM shows the card type is Fast Ethernet.
Thanks.
