Re: Problem in changing the built in network card to 100FD.

Dunstan,

all the patches are avauilable still from the archived ftp site.

PHCO_17871

ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/archived_patches/hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_17871

PHKL_16751

Also has some dependencies on other patches see
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/archived_patches/hp-ux_patches/s800/10.X/PHKL_16751.txt

All the patches can be found here for PHKL_16751 and PHKL_17858

and PHKL_16957/17013/17254/23419

ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/archived_patches/hp-ux_patches/s800/10.X/

read the notes first and see if you have these already installed. They may not be relevent to your card but they are dependencies?

Re: Problem in changing the built in network card to 100FD.

Finaly I have resolve the issue with all of your helps.

Fitted the new NIC card and installed the PHNE_17000. Then manually set the speed to 100FD using landadmin.
Also updated the hpgsc100conf accordingly.

I did a test using ftp, and the 5MB file take less than 4 second to tranfer. The same file took 385.75 seconds previousley.

Thanks you very much for the support.

Re: Problem in changing the built in network card to 100FD.

The EISA card will not support 100FD. So We bought a HSC card (cost only ┬г60 )and installed the application (J3623BA from 2nd application CD) and installed the patch PHNE_17000.
Then Manually change the speed to 100FD using landadmin.
Everything is successfull.

Without your help we would not be achived this.
Thanks for all your support.
