SolutionWhich will give you drivers for the storage controller, which can be used in a floppy to install RHEL 3.
Hope this helps.

Re: Problems in install Red Hat ES 3.0 on DL 380 G5 server
I downloaded the correct storage controller for my kernell release.
But at installation instruction is requerid.
1 -) boot your Linux machine with CD1 ok
2 -) input the line #linux updates dd ok
3 -) So the installation search the update at /dev/hba .. This is the problem. In the server I haven't floppy. Only USB and CDROM.
How can I install this without Floppy?
Can I copy the "storage controller" to CDROM, and install, using /dev/hba ?
Thks

Re: Problems in install Red Hat ES 3.0 on DL 380 G5 server
One option that comes to my mind is to use virtual media option through the iLO.
Configure iLO on the server. Logon to the server from a different machine (with a floppy drive). Access the remote console & also attach your systems floppy to the virtual media. Then provide the drivers during the installation. :)

Re: Problems in install Red Hat ES 3.0 on DL 380 G5 server
The OS when first build was not aware of the hardware and the boot disk lacked necessary drivers.
You must use a very recent update to support G5 hardwear.

Re: Problems in install Red Hat ES 3.0 on DL 380 G5 server
According to RedHat you need to be using at least Update 7 of RHEL-3, on the DL380 G5.
https://hardware.redhat.com/show.cgi?id=193671
I'm guessing the CD that you're trying to install from is the base release of RHEL-3, rather than one of the later Updates.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob

No it doesn't look like it no. You need RHEL-4 Update 3 or later:
