Hi ALL,
I'm trying to load the DEC 2001 patch bundle
remotely. On my local server (lassie) I do the
#swreg -l depot /cdrom and that works fine.
But when I go to my remote server (snoopy) and type
#swintall I put that:
Source Depot Type to Network Directory/CDROM
Source Host to My Local Host Lassie
Path /cdrom/GOLDQPK11i
I get this error on my remote host snoopy from the above swinstall:
"lassie:/cdrom/GOLDQPK11i": You do not have the required permissions |---|
| | to perform this operation. Check permissions using the "swacl" | |
|+-| command or see your system administrator for assistance. Or, to |-+ |
|| | manage applications designed and packaged for nonprivileged mode, see | ^ |
|| | the "run_as_superuser" option in the "sd" man page.
On my local host lassie I have in the /etc/exports file the following:
/cdrom -anon=65543,ro,access=snoopy
What's my problem???

Re: Problems with Remote CD install for DEC 2001 Patch Bundle
Hi,
One option: As you have NFS, mount this CD on your remote machine and install from that as a local directory.
OR do an 'swcopy' the file sets and then try installing it.
HTH,
Shiju
