Proliant DL580 G5 (Linux 4 RHES 4)
Hi,
after Editing syscrl.conf file with Oracle recommanded settings to install Oracle 10g. I rebooted the server. after reboot it just hangs at the boot. all I get is a show detail then I can't do any thing else.

Your problem is not very clear sir.
I guess your system doesn't come to service startup level ether.
To correct all issues we need to take control over your system. Try to boot in to single user mode and revoke the changes you made.
if above doesn't help use the boot DVD and boot up in to rescue mode.
Your current installation will be mounted to /mnt/sysimage
chroot to this directory
from this point onwards you will be working on your actual file system. locate the files you changed and re-correct them.
