[Q] How to determine the LUN path in HPUX 11.11

I have a HPUX 11.11 host, the backend EVA storage has one controller failed.

How to verify/display the LUN path in 11.11, just like  the 11.31's "ioscan -m dsf".

Thanks in advance!

Re: [Q] How to determine the LUN path in HPUX 11.11

There is no LUN path in OS prior to 11.31, but there is always a hardware path.

Most easy to use is "evainfo" utility, available from software.hp.com

What exactly you want to know?

Hope this helps!

Re: [Q] How to determine the LUN path in HPUX 11.11

Thanks for the answer.

Now the backend EVA has lost one controller. I want to check the actual status of the half PVs that belong to the failed controller.  And after the repairement of the EVA controller, what's the status of these PVs.

So how can I recongnize the failed controler's PVs?

You will probably see in ioscan a lot of "NO_HW" devices.

or better get EVAINFO from here
