Question about local accounts

Hi

I have a HPUX.11.23 server, uses local files for passwd authentication. One of the local account got expired and i have to reset the expiration with out reseting the passwd.
I would like to do it in a standard way. Is it a good way to edit shadow file and delete the min:max passwd days columns.Mainly i don't want to give this account as "no restrictions".
Please Advice.
