What are the firewall ports needs to be open in HP-UX to do RSH and RCP ?

These are the default ports used for remote services.

rexec 512
remsh 513
rlogin 513

rcp will use remsh

Just looking at /etc/services, I would say that the ports needed are probably 512, 513, 514, maybe 515 (print).

However, since you're going outside the firewall, I would suggest you think about using Secure Shell rather than remsh. The traffic will be encrypted and therefore secure.

The answer to most of these questions is found in /etc/services file.

There is a typo error on my previous post.

remsh will use 514 not 513.

Sincere apologize for the typo mistake.

As pointed in your previous post, use SSH rather than opening up ports where all operations happen on port 22 securely.
